Tips for Dining Out With Your Pet
Taking advantage of our limitless dining options in the Low Country is a given during the summer with several pet-friendly options to enjoy a delicious meal with your friends, family, and Fido. When grabbing a bite to eat with Fido, follow these tips to keep your pet safe:
- Feed your pet before you go, this will lower the risk of impolite begging and stealing of food.
- Bring a portable water dish, temperatures are high make sure you keep them hydrated.
- Bring a short leash, this should go without saying, however, your pet will be required to be on a leash. Retractable leashes are not favorable as it can cause a safety hazard to staff and other dining companions.
- Go for a walk first to tire out your furry companion. It will be a more pleasurable dining experience for all when your dog is ready to lay down and relax.
- Seats are for your dining companions, not Fido. While it may look cute, it is unsanitary for your pet to be seated at the table, they should be next to you on the ground at all times.
- Last, relax and have fun!
