Sweet and Spooky Halloween Treats for Your Pet

Cane Bay Summerville - Halloween Treats for Your PetHalloween is one of the few times a year where we can munch on chocolate, candy and totally indulge in the fun, sweet aspects of the holiday with very few repercussions.

Growing up, whenever the kids in our family would get back from trick-or-treating, we would dump our newly collected edible treasures all across the floor. Our poor pup would come to join in the fun and sniff around for something he could eat, but unfortunately, chocolate is one of the very ingredients pets should stay away from. Perhaps it wouldn’t have been so painful to turn our mini schnauzer away if we had treats for him, too.

If you have small children coming to your house this Halloween with loads of candy, or even if you don’t, it is always a good idea to have a little something extra sweet on hand for your puppy or kitty as well. We certainly don’t want to neglect our furry friends on the holidays!
